Goldcorp Growth Projects
Goldcorp (TSE:G) CEO Chuck Jeannes said recently that he is counting on the El Morro project the company recently acquired, along with the Eleonore project in Quebec is the major properties the company is relying on for growth over the next several years ... through 2015.
The Eleonore project is an excellent one because of its relatively low cost for production, coming in at $400 per ounce of gold, with byproduct another $450 an ounce
With gold prices seeming to have a pretty solid support under them, it looks like that could be a great producer and generator of profits.
The El Morro project will have to wait to see if the Barrick Gold challenge is allowed to stand and they actually take over the project.
Production goals on a yearly basis are to reach around 3.8 million ounces a year by 2015.
