Just a couple of months after being appointed to head BP's (NYSE:BP) U.S. media relations, Anne Kolton is stepping down to take a job in Washington, where her family lives. She had commuted to Houston during her short stint with the company.
Kolton is being replaced with Scott Dean, who handled the media relations in regard to the Texas refinery blast, so he isn't new to the arena.
This is the second person to be known to leaving the company today, as it was announced COO Don Suttles will be replaced by Mike Utsler to head the Gulf Coast Restoration Organization.
Suttles is scheduled to resume his duties in Houston, Texas.
At this time there hasn't been an official confirmation that Kolton is leaving, although inside sources say it's a done deal.
