Teck Resources (NYSE:TCK) went through a similar thing as their major competitors this week, as they started slow on Monday and Tuesday, but picked up strong on Wednesday, and continued on through the rest of the week.
They finished the trading session at $34.36, gaining $1.30, or 3.93 percent.
That was one of the top performances of diversified miners, with only Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc. (NYSE:FCX) having a stronger day in the sector. Freeport ended the day at $65.98, gaining $2.82, or 4.46 percent.
All the diversified mining majors had a good week, moving in the same manor as Tech.
