Obama's Response to BP (NYSE:BP) Katrina Worse than Original: ABC Poll

According to an ABC poll, Obama's Katrina with BP (NYSE:BP) was responded to worse than the response of President Bush to the actual Katrina.

The ABC News/Washington Post poll found that 69 percent disapprove of all Obama responded to the oil spill, which 62 percent had a negative rating on how the federal government responded to Katrina.

In another show of anger in the poll, in over a 2-to-1 margin, Americans said they supported the pursuit of criminal charges in the devastating oil spill.

Fortunately polls aren't what determines what is criminal or not in America, and it's far too early to be talking about that when there isn't a clue yet as to what caused the problem in the first place.

And even when the source of the problem is found, from there there will be an investigation into seeing whether it was accidental or not.

Assuming it was accidental and not deliberate, then investigators will have to determine if there were any steps that were bypassed in the process of running the oil rig.

It's highly unlikely any of that will be found, and just because it is a difficult accident doesn't mean there is any criminality involved in any way.
