BP (NYSE:BP) CEO Appreciates Growing Support

Growing support for BP (NYSE:BP) CEO Tony Hayward, both politically and from the business community, is appreciated he said, as Obama has continued to hammer BP and Hayward in what is increasingly views as going to far.

Talking to Sky News, Hayward said, "The best outcome is to keep BP strong and whole and working well so we can use our financial muscle to deal with this."

This reiterates some of what British Prime Minister David Cameron has stated, where he also said a strong BP is far better for the overall crisis than one that is beaten down.

Hayward added concerning tackling the oil spill, "We have taken responsibility for the spill, committed enormous resources and we will stop the leak, clean up the oil and remediate the environmental impact. I am confident the company has the resources to do that."

Cameron and Obama are beginning talks on the subject as this article goes to press.

Dear Tony:

I know from personal experience that overcoming an obstacle that you feel is your fault can be hard, and, believe me, it takes time. Just hang in there, and please know, that you are not the only one who has dealt with a rough spot in life. It is merely human!
