Teekay Tankers (NYSE:TNK) announced it public offering price for 7.7 million shares of Class A common stock at $12.25 a share, a little over 6 percent lower than it closing price on Monday.

The capital is being raised for the acquisition of three oil tankers from the parent company of Teekay Tankers, Teekay Corp. (NYSE:TK).

The offering is expected to close on April 9.
