Kodiak Oil & Gas
Kodiak Oil & Gas (AMEX:KOG) moved up nicely after the announcement it has closed a couple of separate purchase and sale agreements for leaseholds in the Williston Basin.
The largest of the two transactions was the acquisition of 5,680 gross mineral acres in McKenzie County, N.D.
Secondly, the company increased its interest in the Grizzly Project area in the Mondak Fields, where they now have an 87.5 percent working interest in the 3,907 gross acres being worked.
The private party they acquired the interests from wasn't disclosed.
Shares in Kodiak Oil & Gas surged to a 52-week high on the news.
